Miranda Carnessale is a 15-year Location Professional based in Los Angeles, California and the mountains above Boulder, CO. Her most recent credits include Greta Gerwig’s smash hit BARBIE, and Martin Scorsese’s epic KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, where she took the lead scouting many of the feature’s iconic locations. Miranda’s experience is grounded in multi-season episodic TV series such as 9-1-1, SCANDAL, RIZZOLI & ISLES and COLD CASE. She has a passion for Location Managing, where she excels in scouting, leadership, and governmental affairs. As an active member of the Steering and Education Committees at Teamsters Local 399, Miranda enjoys teaching classes, hosting workshops, and participating in the negotiating process with her union leaders and colleagues. Practiced in landscape, drone, self portrait photography, Miranda utilizes her camera skills in her free time, documenting her adventures around the world. In 2019 Miranda solo hiked the John Muir Trail, a 350km trail in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. Using her knowledge of ecology and outdoor stewardship, Miranda aims to bring film productions to previously uncharted locations around the world.
